Are you ready to deepen your understanding of climate change in a fun, engaging way before the official start of LA Climate Week? 🌎

Whether you're a newcomer to climate science or an expert, our Climate Fresk Workshop is the perfect way to kick off the week.

Understanding the complexity of climate change is crucial for taking meaningful action. While many of us know the basics — like CO2 emissions and global warming — there's so much more to explore at a systemic level. This workshop offers a hands-on, interactive experience where you'll collaborate with fellow participants to build a comprehensive picture of climate change.

Guided by trained facilitators, you'll join a small group to connect the dots between causes, effects, and solutions. This 3-hour activity, based on the latest IPCC report, turns intricate scientific concepts into a dynamic learning experience. By the end, you'll have a clearer, more detailed understanding of climate change, and a strong foundation for the week ahead.

This session, led by Gayatri, will feature a special 20-minute yoga mindfulness grounding practice, designed to ease emotions, prevent climate anxiety, and offer a peaceful moment of relaxation and connection to yourself and each other.

👉 How the Game Works

Please Note: This is a 3-hour group activity that requires your full participation to ensure a rewarding and enjoyable experience for everyone.

The workshop centers around a collaborative game featuring 42 cards, each representing a cause or consequence of climate change. Under the guidance of a trained facilitator, your team will work together to map out the cause-and-effect relationships between these elements. Through this step-by-step approach leveraging your group’s collective intelligence, you'll uncover the complex and interconnected nature of climate change.

No prior knowledge is required. Our facilitators will guide you through each step, and you'll tackle the challenge as a team. We're aiming for an engaging blend of learning, creativity, and fun!
