It’s hard to go a day without hearing the words “climate change” yet how many people actually understand what it means in detail? The climate crisis is a complex issue, involving interconnected systems and mechanisms that can be difficult to grasp. As a group of master’s students of Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science, we know how important it is to understand these dynamics, yet the topic can feel overwhelming and leave many of us unsure of how to turn knowledge into meaningful action.
The purpose of a Climate Fresk is to connect the knowledge about climate change with action. Through a three-hour workshop including an interactive and collaborative card game, we aim to help you understand the causes and consequences of climate change. It is based on the latest climate science and designed to empower you to be able to talk confidently about climate change and take meaningful action in your own life.
Today, the Climate Fresk workshop has already been facilitated over 2 million times in more than 162 countries worldwide. We invite you to explore key questions such as what is climate change and what can I do about it? The Climate Fresk also provides a space for participants to discuss any worries they have about the future climate, as well as the challenges we are facing today.
We warmly welcome anyone to join us this Sustainability Week to deepen our understanding of the climate crisis and what to do against it.
