Description
Last August, Hurricane Dora, a Category 4 storm, brought high winds to the state of Hawaii. A termite damaged electrical pole snapped under the 60-knot wind and fire ignited over invasive dry grasses, engulfing the historic Lahaina town and incurring $6 billion in damages. Nearly a year later, displaced residents are still in temporary housing and hundreds of households have left the island.
Join us for an interactive workshop to understand the causes and effects of climate change per United Nations' IPCC climate science reportand zero in on wildfire preparedness through the Maui fire case study. Come discuss

And with those cards, people create large climate frescoes — hence the name Climate Fresk — to gain a better understanding of global warming."
