Description
1.5°C is no longer a distant warning. We are now entering an era of climate overshoot.

In its latest report, the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) says that the world is now on track to exceed the 1.5°C threshold, likely within the next few years. But what does 1.5°C really mean, and why is this threshold so critical?

Climate Fresk Singapore invites you to a Climate Fresk Workshop to explore the science behind climate change and understand what is driving the world towards this threshold.
Based on the IPCC reports, the Climate Fresk is a science-based, play-based workshop where participants use 39 cards representing the causes, consequences and impacts of climate change. Working together, you will build a systemic overview of climate change, uncover the multiple interactions between its different elements, and explore vulnerabilities for our society.
Whether you are new to the topic or already have a good understanding of climate science, the Climate Fresk offers an opportunity to deepen your knowledge, ask questions and connect the dots.

How the Workshop runs

💡 Reflection through discovery
Over 90 mins, participants work together, drawing on collective intelligence to put together the cause-and-effect relationships between the various elements of the climate system. No lectures - only a trained facilitator to guide you and answer questions, provide any additional information to help bring the science to life.
🎨 Creativity and Emotions
30 mins to reflect, doodle, illustrate and think and talk about what it all means to you - all done with the rest of your group!
💬 Taking Action
What actions can one take? What are mitigation actions, and what are adaptation actions? An hour to find solutions that resonate with your groups and how you can take them forward individually and collectively.

After the Workshop
🚀 Become part of the movement
After attending a Climate Fresk, you can train to become a facilitator yourself and be part of our community - organise your own workshops, share climate science and play an active role in growing this awareness and action movement, all the while learning and meeting folks!

With more than 2 million people worldwide and almost 14,000 people in Singapore having participated, Climate Fresk is one of the fastest-growing climate education workshops globally.

Join the workshop so that you too can play a role in empowering others to take effective action - both individually and collectively.
